The possibilities are countless. A senior housing development, an education center, a historic mixed use commercial district or a resort.
Here is a unique opportunity to craft this former state campus into your unique requirements.
Nested on the Beaverhead river upstream from the headwaters of the Jefferson, this brick and mortar facility truly reflects the craftsmanship of the early 1900's. Twenty five buildings reside on 100 acres including more than 140,000 s.f. of interior space.
WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE REPRESENTING THE PROPERTY FORMERLY OPERATING AS THE MONTANA CHILDREN'S CENTER
The purpose of this website is two fold. The current owners of the property have taken on the monumental task of stopping the degradation to the existing structures in an attempt to preserve the facility and locate a use for it. We are providing current project information on this site as we go through the process of preparing the 140,000+s.f. of space for a viable use.
We enjoy the opportunity to provide a frame of reference to share the history of this facility and the impact it has had in the past and will continue to have in the future on this wonderful rural community. This frame of reference happens to be the shape the building's were in at the time of our acquisition some 30 years after the facility was used for the State Orphan's Home. We will update the project and the images as we go through the redevelopment effort.
Facility sits on the beaverhead river across highway 41 from the Madison county fairgrounds.
